Greeting PHAmily-
I am humbled and excited that the craft of New Beginning Lodge #970 has re-elected me as the Worshipful Master for the ensuing Masonic Year. It is my job to continue raising the bar for New Beginning as we carry on being the standard bearer. Along with the brothers of #970, I will accomplish this by making sure we are heavily involved in the community, have financial growth and make use of all mediums of communication. Attracting good men, cultivating them and making them better through our beautiful system of morality is part of the vision.
As we entered into the 2008-2009 Masonic our membership had diminished because of job relocations and military. We were able to maintain and get the work of the craft done. We now have good brothers returning from military duty and other recommitting themselves to the craft. Along with reclaiming that which was lost or displaced; we raised a class of brothers who have been coined “The Four Souls of the Rebirth”. If you expect any machine to perform well it has to be maintained and the necessary upgrades or tune-ups have to be completed. I said that to say… that we have to always reinvent ourselves. Strive to be better today than we were yesterday. With our new class of brother, seasoned brothers and the class that we are currently working with…we will!
We must continue to mature our position in society so we may have the ability to help more and do more. To do this, revenue is a must. We will gain revenue through a series of fundraisers and out of the box thinking. If you have idea for community projects or revenue builders that have work for your Lodge, company or other organization; I would like to hear about. Please write about it in the guess book
It is easy to do a lot of talking but vision without execution is just talking. With that said, constant battle with the internal enemy of complacency will be the continuous challenge. I will use the business model below and push New Beginning Lodge #970 to the upper right quadrant.
